Collected Used books and donated them to the Women's resource

We collected gently used books ranging from children's literature to adult.  These books were donated to the thrift store associated with the Women's Resource Center in Oceanside.  The Women's Resource Center provides support services, shelter, and counseling to women, children, and men who have been affected by domestic violence or sexual assault. Clients of theirs receive vouchers to shop in the thrift store, and the general public may shop there as well, all proceeds going back to the center to help provide those services.

Reducing Hunger Insecurity, Donated to JFS food pantry

Our first mitzvah was aimed at reducing hunger insecurity in San Diego. We collected food between Yom Kippur and Sukkot, which was donated to the Jewish Family Services (JFS) "Hand Up Food Pantry."

LeaD POINT INterfaith Services

We Gave Thanks with our local interfaith community. Cantor Bromberg co-led 2 interfaith services to show our gratitude for a supportive interfaith community during these times of increased antisemitism and violence.  If you'd like to learn more about our local interfaith organizations, please visit the POINT or Escondido Together websites.

Book Donation to Light One Little Candle for Cancer Patient Support

We donated dozens of new children's books to Light One Little Candle. Their mission is to encourage cancer patients who are also caregivers to continue to bond with their children throughout their illness by reading books together that have nothing to do with cancer. Locally, these books went to UCSD's Moore's Cancer Center.
