Welcome Jamie

We welcome our new Administrative Director Jamie Nadel.  Jamie officially starts on June 12th, but was in the office last week for some training with Gina.  She will be working part time til June 12th to continue the transition.  Please note the office will be closed this week.  Next week's limited hours will be posted online and in the Peak.  Jamie's email will be admin@nertamidsd.org.

Summer Schedule for Friday night

Beginning on Friday, June 2nd with Family Shabbat and Last Day of School, Friday night services will begin at 6:30pm.  Weather permitting, we will also begin having Friday night services on the patio.

Fair Tickets

Ner Tamid has again secured a limited number of tickets to the San Diego County Fair.  It runs through July 4th, and you can get as many as 4 by emailing admin@nertamidsd.org if you have not already asked for them. If you have, they are on the table by the front door of the Sanctuary. Enjoy!

Ask the Doctor

The Ner Tamid Caring Committee is sponsoring 'Ask the Doctor', with Dr. Sol Finkelstein after Shabbat services on June 10th from 12pm-1pm.  Dr. Finkelstein has recently retired after 34 years  with Kaiser Permanente in their Department of Family Practice.  No appt, no co-pay, see you there!

You ARE the droids we are looking for.....

Bring the family and join Ner Tamid for an evening of Star Wars on Saturday night, June 10th at 7pm. Refreshments will be served, but you can bring some of your favorites too. There is no cost and you don't need to RSVP, but donations are appreciated.  Use the force if you must, but be there!

Coming up

Save Friday night, June 16th for Jam Under the Stars, a musical Shabbat in Rachel's Tent, if the weather cooperates. More details to come.

And it's not too early to register for the 4th of July BBQ and Fireworks.  Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for kids and it includes a hot dog or veggie dog, chips, beverage and dessert.  Gates open at 6pm, fireworks start about 9pm. There will be bounce houses and fun for the kids, and you can bring your own food if you choose, as long as it is not treif.  No grills are allowed for safety reasons.  You must pre-register and pre-pay, and you can do that by going to http://www.nertamidsd.org/event/ner-tamid-annual-4th-of-july-celebration.html.  If you'd like to volunteer, see David Hardoon or Alex Mandel.
