Ner Tamid serves the communities of Inland and North San Diego County: Rancho Bernardo, Poway, 4S Ranch, Scripps Ranch, Rancho Penasquitos, Mira Mesa, Escondido, Valley Center, San Marcos, Vista and other local communities. Ner Tamid Mission Statement: Ner Tamid Synagogue is an egalitarian conservative synagogue whose goal is to provide a welcoming environment, celebrate Torah and the traditions of Jewish Life through education, spirituality and community, and stand with Israel and Jews everywhere.
Our Ner Tamid Conservative Community shares an unmistakable mission to inspire and inquire that is prevalent in the lives of each member of this congregation. Since its founding in 1987 by a handful of families, Ner Tamid has been devoted to bringing the Conservative movement to Inland North County. These families were driven to develop and enhance their Jewish identity through worship, education, cultural heritage, social interaction, community involvement and concern for the state of Israel, with an emphasis on enduring Jewish values. Our spiritual leader, Nadav Caine, is a wealth of knowledge and humanity, with degrees in Theology and Philosophy from Harvard and Princeton. "Rav" Nadav is an accomplished Jewish educator and theologian who leads our warm and spiritual services.                 |
